Northside District Homes

Affordable Housing, Residential, Commercial

Northside District Homes is a scattered-site affordable housing development that will be located entirely within Council District 1 and Lexington’s Northside. The project will be comprised of three infill communities, Carlisle Place, Eastern Place, and Lofts on Lime, and is intentionally designed to deliver high-quality, family-oriented housing while advancing the City of Lexington’s goals for infill development, walkability, and equitable access to opportunity.

Collectively, the development will provide a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments serving households at affordable income levels. All sites are located along or immediately adjacent to public transportation routes, within walking distance of parks, neighborhood amenities, and community anchors such as Greyline Station, the MET, and the downtown Lexington core. The infill nature of the sites promotes walkability, reduces transportation costs for residents, and integrates new housing seamlessly into existing neighborhoods. The development will include ample resident parking, secure bicycle storage, and pedestrian-oriented site design.

The project has received strong and coordinated local support, including support from LFUCG planning staff, District 1 Councilmember, Tyler Morton, and Rick McQuady, Director of Lexington’s Affordable Housing Trust Fund.
